If you are anything like me, you hate the cost of replanting your outdoor decorative pots every year. While I do enjoy adding new and different plants, I prefer not to have to completely start over each year. With this in mind, over the last couple of years, I have tried a variety of plants in my pots.
Here is what I have learned so far:
- Hostas
Hostas as great plants to put in your decorative pots. The hostas pictured below have been in my pots for a couple of years now. If you go this route, feeding the plant is very important.

- Succulents
Succulentsare also great! The succulent pictured here has been in this pot for two years.

. . . and Calla Lilies . . .

Here are a few pictures of my pots this year.

I hope this inspires you with your decorative pots!
I got a new front door mat which I am LOVING, so I am sharing. Is it not the little things that can make our day? A kind word, someone buying us a coffee or just the beauty of things around us.

Again I hope this inspires you. Please feel free to share your tips to planting decorative pots.
