Let’s make some eggs! Believe it or not, how to make hard-boiled eggs is a common question. In fact, the last time I checked, this was # 4 on the Top Google Search list. Wow, that is really high on the list so today, I will share two ways to make hard-boiled eggs.

Option 1: The non-traditional way - Baking them in the oven

  • Ingredients:
  • Eggs
  • Water

Directions:

  • Place the eggs into a sauce pan and cover with water
    • You want a pan big enough to allow the eggs to move around a little bit
    • I am using a 2 quart sauce pan (approximately ten (10) eggs will fit)
  • Bring to a boil over high heat
  • Once the water is boiling, set a timer
    • Soft-boiled: 7 minutes
    • Hard-boiled: 10 minutes
  • While the eggs are boiling, make an ice bath in a large bowl
  • Fill the bowl about half way with ice and cover with cold water
